I miss living near beautiful parks.

I used to live in a suburb with old terrace houses, large trees, beautiful parks, and fit people of all ages. I would run around the 4km park on sunny days, and feel on top of the world after it.

This does not mean I’m shy. This does not mean I don’t like socializing with other people.

This means that being with other people requires a great deal of energy, and being alone is how I recharge that energy.

I’m quite outgoing, I have plenty of friends, but sometimes I need to spend the evening doing homework by myself.

This is so that I do not go on a killing spree.

I’m not sure if I am completely an introvert. But I feel that I need my alone time a lot more than other people. I call it my “down time”. I can spend all day with people, but I need at last half hour of not talking to anyone. This is sometimes spent cleaning my room, or simply just popping in my headphones and listening to good music… otherwise my emotions become unstable.

This one time my cousin came down to Melbourne, and he was planning the day. He knows me well. He even scheduled in a few hours for my “down time” and following that I had to go out and PARTY with him. It all worked out :)
